| | | | 42 years ago, Raymond W. Leclerc, had a vision of an entirely new sport; ice hockey played without ice.
Calling on his love of hockey, his Canadian heritage, and 20 years of toy manufacturing experience, he created the street hockey concept and in 1970, he launched the Mylec Corporation. Since then, Mylec has been a pioneer in the street hockey industry and can be credited with creating the first hockey ball, the first plastic bladed stick and the first plastic playing surface. Today, Mylec offers a wide range of products for street and roller hockey, as well as other sports and flooring products. For the past 42 years, our goal has been to produce products consumers want, ship on time, and make the whole process as "trouble free" as possible. We continue to maintain a focused and efficient operation. The Mylec brand has been unrivaled among consumers, and we continue to enjoy strong product loyalty.

| MYLEC Teams Up With Pittsburgh Penguins Tuesday, December 18, 2012This fall, MYLEC has teamed up with the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation in an effort to establish a strong youth interest in the game of hockey. The Penguins feel that in doing so, it will also translate into a new generation of Penguins fans in the near future. MYLEC and the Penguins have been working on building street hockey rinks in the local Pittsburgh area for a couple months now. The rinks are being constructed in city parks, open for all to use and have the opportunity to play hockey. As part of the building process, MYLEC sends a few volunteers to the city, only to be greeted by a number of great local volunteers who help install the DEKMAT playing surface, all in a days work. Past experiences have included visits from Head Coach Dan Blysma and Assistant Coach Tony Granato of the Penguins, willing to give a helping hand.
Street Hockey has always been popular in this part of the country, that often boasts local talents to compete on the National Team’s in the World Championships, but this will only add to the talent coming out of the region. It is a great move for the Penguins, that is doing their part in reaching out to the community, and MYLEC could not be happier to be involved with such an opportunity.

Mylec's 3' x 2' Steel Goal - Great for Cross Ice HockeyMylec's 3' x 2' Steel Hockey Goal is exactly 1/2 the size of an official Ice Hockey goal. This item has become very popular in cross ice programs as well as a training and coaching aid. "I just wanted to drop you a note of thanks. We held our first Learn-to-Play session yesterday and we used the mini nets and the kids loved it. We run an in-house program with a couple other cities and I’m hoping next year to go cross-ice instead of full ice. The best thing is the kids had a lot of fun, and that will win the parents over. SYH appreciates the support of Mylec and Mass Hockey."- Jim Maimone, Stoneham Youth Hockey
