40 years ago, Raymond W. Leclerc, had a vision of an entirely new sport; ice hockey played without ice.

Calling on his love of hockey, his Canadian heritage, and 20 years of toy manufacturing experience, he created the street hockey concept and in 1970, he launched the Mylec Corporation.

Since then, Mylec has been a pioneer in the street hockey industry and can be credited with creating the first hockey ball, the first plastic bladed stick and the first plastic playing surface. Today, Mylec offers a wide range of products for street and roller hockey, as well as other sports and flooring products.

For the past 40 years, our goal has been to produce products consumers want, ship on time, and make the whole process as "trouble free" as possible. We continue to maintain a focused and efficient operation. The Mylec brand has been unrivaled among consumers, and we continue to enjoy strong product loyalty.

On February 8-10, 2008, twenty-eight teams from across North America descended upon Las Vegas, Nevada in hopes of capturing the title of “Champion” at the 3^rd annual Sin City Shootout Street Hockey Tournament hosted by SoCal Street Hockey.

Mylec is calling all teams, leagues and associations to register with us. You can go to the "contact us" tab and click on the league registration form. Fill in all the information and you will be registered with us to receive information on tournaments, new leagues, equipment and more. We would also like to feature different organizations on our site in the future. There is no cost to register, so please take a few minutes and let us know who you are. We appreciate all of your support of Mylec equipment and of the great games of Street/Dek and Ball Hockey.

Harrisburg, PA Men's Open Results

The US tournament season kicked off with the Men's Open in Harrisburg, PA on Jan. 26 and 27. It was an exciting event with many tight games, including a good share of overtimes in the semi and quarter finals. The South Jersey Gamblers won the tournament with an overtime victory against 9mm of Buffalo. Congratulations to all teams and to George Tarantino for a well run event.

League Sign Ups at National Dekhockey Center

Saturday Oct. 8 from 8AM-4PM and Monday Oct. 10 from 5PM-7PM there will be league sign ups at the National Dekhockey Center on Route 140 in Winchendon, MA. There will be leagues for all ages and for both guys and girls. Click more info for flyer.

Celtics Take Inaugural Event in Winchendon, MA

The new National Dekhockey Center in Winchendon, MA kicked off it's grand opening with a 4 on 4 Men's Tournament this past Saturday. In a rain soaked day the Hudson Celtics captured the A bracket with a 7-2 victory over the Leominster Flyers. The Leominster Elite won the B bracket 4-1 over the WDC Flyers. Thank you for all who came out and supported the event. All proceeds from the event will go to the American Street Hockey Institute to support the Team USA program.

National Dekhockey Center Grand Opening Tournament

On October 1 & 2, the new National Dekhockey Center in Winchendon, MA will open up with a 4 on 4 tournament for all ages. Cost is $240 per team and proceeds will go to the American Street Hockey Institute towards helping to support the international travel teams.

Team USA Men's and Women's Head to Slovakia

The USA World Street Hockey Teams will be leaving for Bratislava, Slovakia this weekend to compete in the International Street and Ball Hockey Federation World Championships. The tournament runs from June 19 – June 26 and the USA has both a Men’s and Women’s team participating. ASHI wishes them the best in bringing home the gold. Another Great Turnout for Riverhead, NY Clinic

ASHI, The NY Islanders, Mylec, Modells and the Town of Riverhead all had another great turnout this past Saturday for a day of street hockey. Over 30 kids came out to play. A special thank you to the Islander's Matt Moulson who took the time to come out and participate in the clinics and interact with his fans. Leagues will be forming in at the Stotzky Rink in Riverhead this year. More info in the coming weeks.

Special Olympics World Games 2009
Boise, Idaho, USA

The Floor Hockey competition was held at ExpoCenter in Boise, Idaho, USA on the week of Feb. 7^th – 13^th 2009. With approximately 1,175 athletes from 82 teams representing 70 Special Olympics programs from around the world. The ExpoCenter hosted the Floor Hockey competition World Winter Games with 7 hockey courts using Mylec Hockey goals in each rink. Events offered include Traditional Team Competition (Male), Traditional Team Competition (Female) and Unified Team Competition from Yemen, South Africa, El Salvador, China, Japan, Uruguay, India, Honduras, Spain, Costa Rico, Mexico, Algeria, Poland, Russia, Czech Rep., Greece, Germany, Chile, Kuwait and the United States. Mylec a proud sponsor of the 2009 Special Olympics Floor Hockey competitions and was the only supplier to distribute helmets, shin pads, goalie equipment, sticks and player equipment at the World Winter Games.
